Locality:
United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 25 miles east-northeast of El. On the shore of Cattyman Lake, at the landing of the portage to Adventure Lake.

Habitat:
Local, rooted in moist, shallow silt amongst angular cobbles (Knife Lake metasediments) and small rounded boulders, at the mouth of the small inlet stream from Adventure Lake. Occasional in a nearly level shoreline setting, ~3-6 inches above the present lake level (which is down a few inches from the early season high mark). Mostly in full sun. Associates include Carex cryptolepis, Scirpus cyperinus, Viola macloskeyi, Eupatorium maculatum, Cicuta bulbifera, Solidago sp., Triadenum fraseri, Myrica gale.
