Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 25 miles east-northeast of Ely. At the northern tip of Adventure Lake, near the portage to Cattyman Lake, and at the head of the small outlet stream flowing to Cattyman Lake.

Elevation: 454 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 1490 feet
Habitat: Very local. A dozen dense clumps in a tight patch on the lakeshore, in semi-terrestrial setting ~18 inches above lake level, just above the wave-wash zone here. In partial shade of Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, and Alnus incana. Shallow organic silt over bedrock and boulders.
Associated Species: Associates include Myrica gale, Aronia melanocarpa, Vaccinium angustifolium, Rubus pubescens, Maianthemum canadense.
