Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Rolling to moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 27 miles east-northeast of Ely. In the western portion of Ima Lake, ~1/3 mile east of the portage to Jordan Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1500 feet
Habitat: Very local on the shore of a small (1/2-acre) island. Frequent here in coarse, wet sand on the very gently sloping southern shore of this nearly level bedrock island. At and just above the present water line. Full sun to partial shade of Pinus strobus.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis elliptica, Carex utriculata, Juncus pelocarpus, Myrica gale.
