Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 24 miles east-northeast of Ely. On the north shore of Ahsub Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1510 feet
Habitat: Local at a campsite (#1). Level to moderately steep, south- to west-facing slopes, ~20 feet above the lake. In settings that are heavily trampled by campers. Frequent, forming small, loose patches in silt and detritus, often in spots that are fairly shallow over the metavolcanic bedrock (Knife Lake formation). Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Veronica serpyllifolia, V. verna, Taraxacum officinale, Plantago major, Juncus tenuis, Fragaria virginiana, Rubus strigosus, Danthonia spicata, Poa compressa, P. pratensis, Phleum pratense.
