Locality: United States, Minnesota, Houston, Vinegar Ridge Forestry Unit. Along the Root River just downstream from the state bike trail bridge, in rugged terrain four miles west of Houston.

Elevation: 210 meters Verbatim Elevation: 690 feet

Habitat: Abundant on lower tier of a large, two-tiered sand bar, ~6 inches above the present water line. Moist sand, exposed in the past few weeks by receding river levels. Forms the dominant cover in this zone. Prostrate growth form.
