Common on a large (~1/2-acre) sand/gravel bar. ~Level setting ~3-8 inches above the present water line, exposed in the past few weeks by receding river levels. Moist sand (on the downstream end of the bar and with a cap of small, rounded cobbles on upstream end). Co-dominant with Lindernia dubia. Mostly in full sun. Prostrate growth form.
Additional associates include Eragrostis pectinacea, Cyperus odoratus, C. squarrosus, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Bidens cernua, Chenopodium glaucum, Myosoton aquaticum, Potentilla norvegica, Persicaria hydropiper, P. lapathifolia, Verbena hastata, Mimulus ringens, Salix interior.
