Habitat:
Frequent on a large (~1/2-acre) sand/gravel bar. ~Level setting ~3-8 inches above the present water line, exposed in the past few weeks by receding river levels. Moist sand (on the downstream end of the bar and with a cap of small, rounded cobbles on upstream end). In a zone dominated by Eragrostis hypnoides and Lindernia dubia. Mostly in full sun.

Additional associates include Eragrostis pectinacea, Cyperus squarrosus, Myosoton aquaticum, Chenopodium glaucum, Mollugo verticillata, Persicaria hydropiper, P. lapathifolia, Artemisia biennis, Verbena hastata, Mimulus ringens, Pilea pumila, Salix interior.
