Habitat:
Local on the lower third of a steep, 320-foot, south- to west-facing bluff. Infrequent to occasional in a degraded, dry to fairly mesic bluff prairie recovering from grazing which ended 70+ years ago. 200 plants encountered in a relatively narrow zone between a dense wall of Rhamnus cathartica upslope and a new housing development downslope. Silt-loam. Full sun. Large white flowers present earlier in the season.
