Habitat:
Frequent, though sporadic, on a large dolomitic gravel and cobble bar, on rather narrow valley bottomland between steep, 260-foot bluffs. Perched on an alluvial terrace 5-15 feet above the stream, in a heavily grazed cattle pasture. Full sun. Rooting in shallow pockets of sand amongst a jumble of coarse gravel, larger rocks, and small boulders deposited by major flooding in 2013. Loose patches.
