Locality: United States, Minnesota, Dakota, Eagan, Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Strongly rolling forested moraine northeast of Jensen Lake, west of O'Brien Lake, in the city of Eagan.

Habitat: Frequent in rich sedge fen / alder swamp in a small wetland basin. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana. Very buoyant saturated peat. Carpets of Sphagnum squarrosum. Forming loose patches.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex scoparia, Dulichium arundinaceum, Spiraea tomentosa, Salix pedicellaris, S. petiolaris, Thelypteris palustris, Viola pallens, Potentilla palustris, Triadenum fraseri, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Persicaria sagittata, Sagittaria latifolia.
