Habitat: Local on the margin of rich sedge fen / alder swamp in a small wetland basin. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana and Salix petiolaris. Very buoyant saturated peat. Forming a dense patch.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Thelypteris palustris, Sagittaria latifolia, Potentilla palustris, Persicaria sagittata, Impatiens capensis, Cicuta bulbifera, Scutellaria galericulata, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Onoclea sensibilis, Carex scoparia.
