Locality: United States, Minnesota, Dakota, Eagan, Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Strongly rolling forested moraine northeast of Jensen Lake, west of O'Brien Lake, in the city of Eagan.

Habitat: Quite local on the margin of rich sedge fen / alder swamp in a small wetland basin. Common here, in partial shade of Alnus incana and of the adjacent trees in the surrounding mesic upland forest. Very buoyant wet peat; the mat is easily broken through in this zone. Small loose patches.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex comosa, C. atherodes, C. lasiocarpa, Persicaria sagittata, Galium tinctorium, Equisetum fluviatile, Onoclea sensibilis, Typha sp.
