Habitat:
Infrequent and quite local on the mid-slope of an extremely steep, 220- to 240-foot, southwest-facing bluff. Scattered small, loose patches, in a small (1/2-acre) bluff prairie opening on a slope that is elsewhere overgrown with dense Juniperus virginiana and Rhamnus cathartica. Full sun to partial shade. Rocky silt (limestone/dolomite stones and small outcrops).
