Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Rugged terrain along Rush Creek, 0.5 mile south of the Interstate 90 Enterprise Rest Area, 4 miles south of Lewiston.

Habitat: Rather heavily grazed cattle pasture on the narrow valley bottomland between steep, 180-foot bluffs. Quite local along an overflow (flood) channel of the creek. Wet, silty-organic soil. Full sun. Several robust clumps, each with 50+ fertile culms.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis erythropoda, Glyceria grandis, Barbarea vulgaris, Aster prenanthoides.
