Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Along the Mississippi River at the Beaver Islands, St. Cloud, one mile downstream from the 10th Street South dam, along the western shore.

Verbatim Elevation: 960 feet
Habitat: Common (female plants) on an extensive cobble bar. Rounded stones mostly 1-3 inches in diameter, forming a cap over coarse sand, moist to the surface. Level setting 3-6 inches above the water (exposed in the past few weeks by receding river levels). Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Lipocarpha micrantha, Eleocharis intermedia, Cyperus squarrosus, C. diandrus, C. odoratus, C. strigosus, C. esculentus, Panicum philadelphicum, P. capillare, Poa annua, Eragrostis hypnoides, Chenopodium glaucum, Lindernia dubia, Verbena bracteata, Ludwigia palustris, Mollugo verticillata.
