Locality: United States, Minnesota, Pine, Banning State Park. On the east side of the Kettle River in rugged bedrock terrain one mile north-northeast of downtown Sandstone, north of the railroad trestle.

Elevation: 296 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 970 feet
Habitat: Local on a broad river terrace below steep west-facing bluffs. In a small groundwater seepage meadow surrounded, by seepage alder and ash. Moderately buoyant, deep, wet, iron-stained muck, with shallow water between the hummocks. Full sun. Loose patch of several dozen plants here. (Another patch in a similar spot ~75 yards to the north.) Very subtle sweet fragrance (early afternoon).
Associated Species: Associates include Caltha palustris, Stellaria longifolia, Chrysosplenium americanum, Impatiens capensis, Platanthera huronensis, Equisetum fluviatile, Carex comosa, C. hysteracina.
