Associates include Carex interior, C. haydenii, C. tetanica, C. buxbaumii, C. conoidea, Eriophorum angustifolium, Calamagrostis inexpansa, Glyceria striata, Agropyron trachycaulum, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Agrostis stolonifera, Lycopus americanus, L. uniflorus, Gentianopsis procera, Cirsium muticum, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Pedicularis lanceolata, Triglochin maritima. Area hayed annually.
