Habitat: Old oxbow of the Cloquet River. Area in moderate to exceptional drought. The entire oxbow was dry. Local community seems to separate along an elevation gradient with Eleocharis acicularis in lower areas, Torreyochloa pallida in higher areas and Sparganium glomeratum intermixed between.

Associated Taxa: Common associates: Glyceria striata and Hypericum majus.
