Habitat: Along old logging road through mixed mesic forest. Site dominated by Picea glauca and Populus tremuloides. Sandy soil. Associated with Polygonum cilinode, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum, Rhus radicans var. rydbergii.
