Habitat: Oak woodland-brushland. Bank or slope of level terrace. Dry-mesic soil. Opening in lowland hardwood dominated by Quercus macrocarpa 10-20 cm dbh. Cover 25-50%, crowns 10-25 m height. Shrub layer 75% cover, 0.5-5 m tall. Prunus pennsylvania [sic], Viburnum lentago, B. rafinesquianum, Prunus virginianum, Rubus alleghaniensis, Cornus foenea, Corylus spp.
Description: One tree-like shrub to 3 meters.
