in small, boggy, sedge fen in depression in strongly rolling, wooded, morainal terrain; Partial shade of immature Larix laricina. In continuous Sphagnum moss carpet. Associates include Vaccinium oxycoccus, betula glandulifera, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Calla palustris, Lysimachia thrysiflora, Eriophorum chamissonis, Carex canescens, C. lasiocarpa; Mostly in sunny areas.
