Habitat: road ditch which has naturally re-vegetated approximately 30 years after road realignment. Moist to wet, thin, mucky, clay over gravel. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana. Associates include Juncus nodosus, J. brevicaudatus, Carex viridula, C. aurea, Eleocharis elliptica, Equisetum variegatum, E. arvense, Euthamia graminifolia, Halenia deflexa.
