Habitat:
Soil type: Marysland Loam. Near fen discharge zones and in saturated areas outside the immediate discharge zone. Associates include Gentianopsis procera, Parnassia glauca, Solidago ridellii, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Triglochin maritima, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Fragaria sp., Agalinis paupercula, Salix sp., Lobelia siphilitica, Liatris pycnostachya, Zizia, Gentiana andrewsii and sedges. The site is a relatively large composite of fen areas and hummocky sedge meadow/wet prairie within a larger matrix of mesic prairie. The entire unit may comprise 80-100 acres of B-ranked prairie. One high quality discharge area is noticeable at the site, although several fen areas are scattered through this hummock zone and contain many typical fen species.
