Habitat: in seepage swamp on valley floor at base of 240ft, northeast-facing slope. Canopy of large Betula allegheniensis, Tilia americana, Fraxinus nigra & Pinus strobus. Asociates include Glyceria striata, Floerkea proserpinacoides, Cardamine pensylvanica, Caltha palustris, Senecio aureus, Carex laevivaginata. Wet organic soil.
