Habitat: A partial opening in a mature forest dominated by Pinus resinosa. In dryish sandy soil...With Pteridium aquilinum, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Aster macrophyllus, Osmunda claytoniana, Corylus americana.
Description: Primocane 1.9 m long, arching. Floricane 1.2 m long, low srching. Canes characteristically branched, not tip-rooting.
