Habitat:
In grazed mesic oak forest and ravine of dry intermittent creek channeled toe and alluvium. Substrate 8ft above stream bed. Canopy 25-30 meters high, Quercus macrocarpa dominated with 45-55cm DBH trees. Straight trunks. Subcanopy with Ostrya virginiana.
