Habitat: Rolling forested moraine ... poor to rich sedge fen forming broad zone around small pool in wetland connected to the north end of [lake]. Saturated peat. Sphagnum moss carpet. Full sun to partial shade of stunted Larix laricina, Alnus incana, and Betula glandulifera. Additional associates include Salic pedicellaris, S. candida, Carex lasiocarpa, C. lacustris, C. canescens, C. interior, C. disperma, Eriophorum gracile, Thelypteris palustris, Calla palustris, Triadenum fraseri, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Aster borealis.
