Small depression in rolling, wooded terrain ... on very unstable floating sedge mat which nearly fills the basin ... wet, mossy area between sedge hummocks. Growing in shallow water in full sun. Associates include Carex lacustris, C. lasiocarpa, Scirpus cyperinus, Triadenum fraseri, Potentilla palustris, Lycopus uniflorus, Lysimachia thyrsiflora.
