Growing from crack below small, overhanging point of rock face. About 2 m above base of 6 m, sparsely vegetated rock face. Part of large, northwest-facing, Duluth Complex cliff feature along the shore of small bay ... This portion with relativelyy small, interrupted cliff exposures under canopy of nearby Thuja occidentalis and Betula papyrifera. Associates are lichens and mosses. Huperzia selago nearby on same rock face.
