Habitat:
Abies subcanopy and shrub layer. Old growth through dominated by Thuja occidentalis mode dbh 55-65 cm; smaller trees common dbh 35-45 cm. ... Dryer mossy lawn on tree root mass with few water-filled hollows 5-15%. Canopy 70% (with dense cubcanopy). Schizachne purpurascens, Aralia nudicaulis, Rubus pubescens, Polygala sanguinea. Platanthera obtusata (nearly blooming). Linnaea borealis.
