Large conifer wetland complex forming the headwaters ... In rich black spruce swamp. Canopy fairly dense, dominated by Picea mariana. In Sphagnum and feathermoss carpets. Deep, saturated peat. Associates include Platanthera obtusata, Listera cordata, Goodyera repens, Mitella nuda, Linnaea borealis, Cornus canadensis, Circaea alpina, Trientalis borealis, Moneses uniflora, Gaultheria hispidula, Amerorchis rotundifolia, Cypripedium reginae, Coptis groenlandica, Galium triflorum, Gaultheria hispidula, Carex leptalea, C. disperma.
