Habitat: Old growth Norway pine forest with 80% crown closure. Understory of few scattered shrubs and dense herbaceous layer, including Asclepias incarnata, Solidago hispida, Anemone cylindrica, Aster ciliolatus, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Anemone canadensis, and Lactuca pulchella.
