Habitat:
Dry, sparsely wooded habitat dominated by Quercus macrocarpa and Q. velutina. Growing in dune sand. No other species of Rubus seen in this habitat.

Duplicate specimen at ISC determined by Mark Widrlechner. Canes more or less erect, about 60 cm long.
