Habitat: Tamarack Swamp on floating mat severed by [hwy]; Fairly sparse canopy of Larix laricina. Rather dense tall shrub layer dominated by Betula glandulifera. In continuous carpet of Sphagnum. Associates include Eriophorum chamissonis, Carex lasiocarpa, C. chordorrhiza, C. canescens, Thelypteris palustris, Potentilla palustris, Galium tinctorium, Menyanthes trifoliata, Scheuchzeria palustris, Platanthera lacera, Calopogon tuberosus, Salix pedicellaris, Vaccinium macrocarpon, Ilex verticillata.
