in alder swamp dominated by Alnus incana, with sparse overstory of Betula papyrifera & Larix laricina. Drier hummocks around bases of trees. Associates include Calamagrostis canadensis, Rubus strigosus, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Cornus stolonifera.
