Habitat:
Floodplain forest dominated by Acer saccharinum, with Ulmus americana, Betula nigra, Quercus bicolor, the understory herb layer sparse, muddy from recent immersion during high water.
Associated Species:

Description:
Plants mud-covered from recent high water. Inflorescences greenish white, straight, mostly erect.
Notes:
Common in places in muddy understory.
