Habitat: mostly unshaded river bank
Associated Species: Phalaris arundinacea, Acer negundo
Description: Petals purple-pink, changing color during drying.
Notes: A single plant. Only three total plants of this species seen along river bank (7.6 km by air, much longer by meandering river) between Twin Bluffs and confluence with the Wisconsin River at Gotham. Only a single plant seen along 10 km (by air, and nearly twice as long by meandering river) of upper Pine River from Rockbridge to northern Richland Center.
