Habitat: Under canopy of Acer saccharinum and Fraxinus nigra on floodplain along McCarty Creek. Scattered in floodplain along creek.
Associated Species: Growing with Smilax lasioneura, Elymus virginicus, Onoclea sensibilis, Calamagrostis canadensis, Carex tuckermanii, Symphyotrichum ontarionis, and Fraxinus seedlings. Acer saccharinum and Fraxinus nigra.
Notes: Very little reproduction observed.
