Habitat: Boreal forest in light shaded area off of the mountain trail
Description: Deciduous tree 18 meters tall. Flowers are catkins that come in before leaves appear in the spring. The fruit are small, brown, scale like cones produced in early autumn. Max dbh is 100 cm.
