Substrate: On fallen, decaying limbs of Betula, Cornus, and Syringia.
Associated Species: Betula, Cornus, and Syringia.
Notes: Pale gull gray to blue gray, no cystidia or gloeocystidia. Becomes slightly discolored on bruising. Spores fairly uniform, hyaline and approximately 5u x 3.6u. Range: 3.5u to 6u in length x 2.5u toi 4u in width. Spores vary slightly in specimen.
