Habitat: In a brushy thicket under a canopy gap in a forest dominated by Populus tremuloides and Pinus resinosa ... Associated with Prunus virginiana, Ribes americanum, Corylus cornuta.
Description: One main stem ca 2.6 m tall & 6 cm dia near base, and 3 smaller suckers stems [sic]. Specimen taken from same stem as WRS 24174. Stamens 8-10, anthers pale yellow. Fruits hard, pale red.
