The management road is accessed from County Road 23 and US-53 to the north and west, respectively. The Elbow River within 100m to the southeast.Orr is the nearest town 10 km to the northwest.

Habitat: Base of a low, southeast aspect rock wall 10m high. Overstory canopy of Populus termuloides. Heavily shaded by immediate Acer spicatu.
Associated Species: Rubus idaeus var. strigosus, Fallopia cilinodis, Aquilegia canadensis, Heuchera richardsonii, Corydalis sempervirens, Polypodium virginianum, Woodsia ilvensis, Carex intumescens
Description: flowering/fruiting 32cm tall
Notes: single-growing clumped individuals scattered
