Habitat: In shrub layer on narrow ridge at crest of southwest facing bluff. Dry-mesic oak canopy dom by black oak, shagbark hickory with white oak. Frequent gaps due to logging. Canopy 60% cover. Gray clayey silt, compact, with thin humus layer.
Associated Species: Cornus foemina, Corylus americana, Prunus serotina
