United States, Minnesota, Saint Louis, Accessed via Ash Lake Camp Road west from Lost River Road and US-53. Occurs 1.2km west of Ash Lake Camp Road and 3.8km southwest of Ash Lake. Cusson is the closest town 11.8km to the southeast.

Occurs in a narrow drainage gradually sloping from north to south. Specimen collected near flowing water in a northern wet ash swamp native plant community. Nearby, to the north and south, conditions become wetter, and transition to northern very wet ash swamp native plant communities.
