Locality: United States, Minnesota, Saint Louis, Accessed via the Town Line Forest Road west from US-53. Occurs on the northern shore of Rabbit Lake and 50m southeast of the forest road. Cusson is the closest town 8.3km to the east-southeast.

Habitat: Occurring in a graminoid poor fen native plant community in the basin of Rabbit Lake. Water pH 5.0. Very wet spring conditions. Scattered saplings of Pinus strobus, Picea mariana, and Larix laricina. Growing under full sunlight.
