Habitat:
Northern very wet ash swamp native plant community. Very poorly drained muck substrate with many pools averaging 5cm deep. Surface water pH 6.2. Pit and mound topography evident and a highly evident and a highly layered understory exists. Growing under a 50-75% canopy of Fraxinus nigra.
