Description: TREE to 30.83m in height, DBH 56.4cm, trunk height to foliage 14.13m, crown height 16.7m, crown width 10.55m, OUTER BARK rough, flaky, with lenticels, FISSURES horizontal, broad, BARK black, dark brown, grey, CAMBIUM black, brown, WOOD black, dark brown, brown, light brown, EXUDATE absent, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: sigil sigil. Local uses: can cause skin irritation when burned in fire, used for constructing balconies, small huts, and bridges.
