TREE to 11.18m in height, DBH 7.1cm, trunk height to foliage 9.73m, crown height 1.45m, crown width 2.12m, OUTER BARK smooth, rough, with lenticels, FISSURES vertical, horizontal, broad, BARK black, dark brown, brown, grey, CAMBIUM dark brown, brown, light brown, white, WOOD brown, light brown, white, EXUDATE absent, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: gulerum. Local uses: used for roofing in huts, leaves used for wrapping, timber for house construction, used for construction of canoes.
