TREE to 16.56m in height, DBH 19.8cm, trunk height to foliage 1.77m, crown height 14.79m, crown width 7.77m, buttresses up to 0.4m, OUTER BARK smooth, rough, flaky, with lenticels, FISSURES broad, BARK black, dark brown, brown, light brown, pink, white, grey, green, CAMBIUM dark brown, brown, light brown, WOOD dark brown, brown, light brown, white, EXUDATE absent, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: makal gubung. Local uses: timber for house construction, leaves used for wrapping smoked leaves, used for construction of small huts and tables.
