Description: TREE to 21.5m in height, DBH 31.3cm, trunk height to foliage 11.45m, crown height 10.05m, crown width 10.45m, OUTER BARK smooth, with lenticels, FISSURES vertical, narrow, BARK black, dark brown, brown, grey, CAMBIUM dark brown, brown, red, WOOD light brown, white, EXUDATE absent, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: tikul. Local uses: timber for house construction, used for construction of canoes, CAMBIUM used for tying roof of houses.
